Hardwood, engineered, tile and luxury vinyl, laid on a properly prepared substrate.
Almost every flooring failure in the valley traces back to the slab rather than to the material. Slab on grade construction across Hanford, Lemoore and Tulare means moisture emission has to be tested and managed, and flatness has to be corrected, before anything is bonded down.
The other half is acclimation. Wood and engineered product that goes down without being allowed to adjust to a house that runs above a hundred degrees outside and conditioned inside will move, and no installation technique fixes that afterwards.
JSC prepares the substrate as a line item rather than as an assumption, and will say when a material a homeowner has chosen is the wrong one for the room it is going in.
